What is the opportunity?
This is a Senior FX Risk Solutions Sales role within RBC Capital Markets Risk Solutions Group. The role is a client-facing role that focuses on optimizing revenue and leveraging RBC’s strengths to deliver a differentiated, innovative FX offering with a positive influence on the key strategic priorities of RBC Capital Markets FX. FX Risk Solutions Sales is responsible for developing and strengthening client relationships through the delivery of customized foreign exchange risk management solutions. This client-centric role plays a pivotal part in the continued growth of the global FX business. By collaborating closely with key stakeholders and applying data-driven insights, the role delivers exceptional client outcomes while driving sustainable growth across the Corporate client portfolio.
The level of the position (Vice President / Associate) will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role includes a competitive base salary, a variable bonus structure tied to performance, and a comprehensive benefits package. Specific details will be discussed during the interview process and tailored to the candidate's qualifications and the role's requirements.
What will you do?
Partner with Corporate Banking to develop a pipeline of prospective clients and identify exposures.
Engage lending clients not currently covered for FX and build out coverage relationships over time.
Analyze client financials, book data, and portfolio exposures to identify hedging opportunities.
Identify and engage with regional Banking Centers to collaborate with banking teams and intensify client segment strategies.
Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention through consistent in-market engagement, responsiveness, and tailored service delivery.
Support client acquisition through RFPs and new business initiatives targeting corporate-level relationships.
Advise corporate clients on FX risk management, including education on derivative structures and the design of hedging solutions suited to their exposures.
Leverage deep knowledge of capital markets, macroeconomic trends, and competitive dynamics to deliver timely, differentiated advice to clients.
Price and execute FX transactions across cash and derivative structures (spot, forwards, swaps, and options) via voice and electronic channels.
Drive growth by converting transactional flow into structured hedging solutions, meeting defined targets, and expanding client relationships across Capital Markets products.
Collaborate with Rates, FX Structuring, Trading, Execution, and Digital Sales to deliver integrated client-centric solutions under a unified coverage model.
Ensure strong governance by conducting risk assessments, maintaining accurate client profiles and trade documentation, and meeting suitability and regulatory standards across all activities.
What do you need to succeed?
Direct experience in FX sales or alternative product, corporate credit, corporate banking, or risk management.
Strong understanding of FX fundamentals, including forwards, swaps, vanilla and exotic options, and structured hedging strategies.
Strong understanding of credit and capital allocation.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets in a sales capacity.
Experience developing and marketing complex derivative structures to corporate clients.
Familiarity with option pricing models, market data interpretation, and their application to client hedging strategies.
Understanding of client risk assessments, product suitability, and regulatory expectations in a banking environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior finance stakeholders including CFOs, Treasurers, and Risk Managers.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing requests in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience working on a trading floor in a sales or client-facing capacity.
Previous experience working with corporate-level clients is an asset
Education:
Required: Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred: CFA (in progress) / CPA / MBA

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$115,000.00 - $165,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
