About the Role
The Industrial Relations team at Uber Australia is at the forefront of shaping the future of work. As regulatory frameworks continue to evolve, our team plays a critical role in navigating complex industrial relations matters, engaging with unions and the Fair Work Commission, and partnering with delivery people on Work Health and Safety (WHS) consultation.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across industrial relations, stakeholder engagement, workplace safety, and regulatory strategy in a fast paced and highly visible environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage the day to day operations of the Uber Eats National Work Health and Safety Committee.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders, including Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs), delivery people, and unions.
- Coordinate and respond to union enquiries and correspondence.
- Partner closely with Operations, Safety, Legal, and Public Policy teams to support the delivery of strategic initiatives and regulatory obligations.
- Assist in managing unfair deactivation applications and other matters before the Fair Work Commission.
- Support consultation processes and stakeholder engagement activities relating to workplace safety and industrial relations.
- Contribute to projects that help shape Uber's approach to the future of work in Australia.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Law, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to engage effectively across a diverse stakeholder group.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Operational resilience and the ability to thrive in a high volume, fast moving environment.
- A proactive, solutions focused mindset and willingness to take ownership of outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience engaging with unions, employee representatives, or Health and Safety Representatives on workplace issues.
- Experience supporting Work Health and Safety consultation processes.
- Familiarity with the Fair Work Commission, industrial relations frameworks, or employment law matters.
- Experience coordinating committees, consultative forums, or working groups focused on workplace matters such as safety, conditions, or employee engagement.
