Ecoplastic America Corporation (Register, GA) seeks an HR/Training Development Specialist to coordinate and oversee the onboarding and relocation process for expatriates from the Korean headquarters.  Requirements: a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, or a closely related field. Must also have demonstrated experience in early-stage factory establishment, implementing policies that align with local and global compliance requirements, and demonstrated experience in HR systems (HRIS) and ERP integration, payroll and global tax compliance and employee benefits management. Job Summary

Ecoplastic America Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources & Training Development Specialist to support and enhance all aspects of human resources operations, employee relations, talent acquisition, expatriate support, compliance, and workforce development within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

This role will be responsible for coordinating HR functions, overseeing onboarding and relocation processes for expatriates from the Korean headquarters, supporting factory establishment activities, ensuring legal and policy compliance, and developing employee training initiatives that strengthen organizational performance and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate will possess strong bilingual communication skills, experience in manufacturing HR operations, and the ability to manage multiple HR and training functions while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and support recruitment efforts including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding employees for various positions within the organization.

  • Coordinate and oversee the onboarding, relocation, and settlement process for expatriates from the Korean headquarters, ensuring smooth integration into the workplace and local community.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters by responding to employee inquiries, conducting investigations, resolving workplace concerns, and supporting conflict resolution initiatives in accordance with company policies and labor regulations.

  • Support performance management processes by providing guidance to supervisors and managers regarding employee coaching, disciplinary actions, corrective actions, and employee development.

  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases, payroll information, and benefits administration while ensuring compliance with company policies and data protection regulations.

  • Assist with HRIS and ERP system integration, payroll administration, global tax compliance, and employee benefits management to support efficient HR operations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that align with local, state, federal, and global compliance requirements.

  • Support early-stage factory establishment activities including workforce planning, HR process implementation, compliance preparation, and organizational development initiatives.

  • Coordinate employee training and development programs by identifying training needs, scheduling training sessions, supporting leadership development initiatives, and tracking employee progress and training effectiveness.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, workplace regulations, and automotive manufacturing industry standards while assisting with audits, reports, and regulatory documentation.

  • Support workplace health and safety initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional departments to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a closely related field.

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist, HR Specialist, or Training Development Specialist, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting early-stage factory establishment and organizational growth initiatives.

  • Experience implementing HR policies aligned with local and global compliance requirements.

  • Experience with HRIS and ERP systems integration, payroll administration, global tax compliance, and employee benefits management.

  • Fluency in Korean required; strong English communication skills preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and employee relations skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Korean expatriates in a U.S. manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of U.S. labor laws and employment practices.

  • Experience in training coordination and organizational development initiatives.
