About Our Opportunity
This position is responsible for supporting the administration of land surveying activities on Crown lands for the Survey Division of the Land Strategy and Planning Branch of the Department. The technician provides expertise and support for land transactions to all sections of the Land Strategy and Planning Branch, other government departments and private sector surveyors. This position supports the Manager of Crown Survey Administration by conducting technical reviews of field surveys and survey plan submissions, drafting plans, researching historical documentation, and compiling records for investigation purposes.

In addition, you have strong organizational skills (including attention to detail and accuracy) and a demonstrated ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision to complete multiples tasks in a timely manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role and will enable you to positively and effectively interact with staff, management, and clients. In this role, you will work with various stakeholders to complete survey requests from land administration, and regional surveyors related to land transactions.
You will also have working knowledge of computer systems and applications including spreadsheets and related programs/databases.
We will assess the above qualifications using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Pay Grade: TE 18 - TE 20
Salary Range: $2,046.28 - $2,601.38 Bi-Weekly
