Role Summary
The Technical Specialist is responsible for executing Technical Services work across a variety of project types, disciplines, and customer needs. This role requires technical depth in at least one core vertical, with flexibility to contribute wherever demand exists.
Technical Specialists are expected to be adaptable, cross-functional contributors who can deliver production work, support demonstrations, and discuss their work clearly with customers. The role requires a willingness and ability to work beyond a narrow niche to support utilization, delivery commitments, and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Be the Go-To Expert
Provide consulting, training, mentoring, implementation, standards setup, template creation, and technical support for Autodesk Forma and related Autodesk Construction Cloud solutions.
Help Clients Work Smarter
Guide AEC clients through best practices, workflows, and collaboration strategies that improve project delivery and team communication.
Own the Customer Experience
Engage directly with clients to troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and deliver solutions that make a real impact on projects in the field and in the office.
Support the Entire ATG Ecosystem
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, and other Design Discipline teams to help tailor solutions and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
Demo Like a Pro
Participate in client demos, webinars, blog content, presales meetings, client visits, and industry events including Autodesk University and Midwest University.
Stay Ahead of the Curve
Continuously learn emerging technologies, software updates, and evolving construction workflows to support ATG’s Construction Team and customer base.
Collaborate Across the Industry
Learn and support workflows used by Architects, Structural & MEP Engineers, General Contractors, Trade Contractors, Owners, and Developers utilizing the Autodesk Construction Cloud ecosystem.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for adaptable, technically curious professionals who can wear multiple hats, communicate confidently, and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
Required Qualifications – Minimum 4 out of 5 qualifications listed
- Experience with Autodesk Forma (or legacy products such as ACC, PlanGrid, Glue, BIM 360) core components/modules Docs, Design Collaboration, Model Coordination, Takeoff, Build, ProEst, Cost, or Autodesk Estimate
- 3+ years using project or field management platforms such as Procore, Trimble, CMiC, Newforma, Egnyte, or similar collaboration solutions
- 3+ years of experience in Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Project Coordinator roles within construction, engineering, ownership/development, or consulting environments
- Strong communication skills and confidence presenting technical solutions to clients
- The ability to adapt, learn quickly, and contribute across multiple technical areas
Bonus Points For:
- Extensive experience leading VDC coordination efforts in Navisworks across 5+ projects
- Experience championing or implementing new technology within an organization

This full-time role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed to meet deadlines.
