WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing operations team; establish clear performance metrics and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Develop and execute long-term operational strategies aligned with organizational goals; plan capacity, technology roadmaps, and resource allocation
- Oversee PKI infrastructure, certificate lifecycle management, and related systems; adherence to SLAs and Standards
- Maintain compliance with operational procedures to support audit readiness; provide oversight of operations team and maintain KRI and KPIs
- Evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers
- Report on operational metrics to leadership; communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Identify inefficiencies and implement AI, automation, tools, and best practices to optimize operations
- Responsible for stakeholder alignment, vendor and platform strategy, governance and ensuring Certificate Services solutions support enterprise security, business needs, and future state architectures.
- Support in the creation and maintenance of the Certificate Services roadmaps
- Gathering internal and external feedback to identify potential new products or improvements to existing products.
- Work with technical specialist to facilitate decisions to ensure that all Certificate Services projects/development and operations meet enterprise architectural and technology standards
- Participate in the development and delivery of Certificate Services, ensuring initiatives are completed within defined time, scope, and budget constraints.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and more efficient operations while continuing to manage risks.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and industry best practices
- Promote digital certificate best practices, strategy, and vision across the organization through successful delivery, roadshows and participation in events.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 7+ years in IT operations, infrastructure management, or related technical roles
- 5+ years in a leadership or management position overseeing technical teams
- Proven experience managing critical infrastructure with high availability requirements
- Understanding of security, compliance, and risk management in regulated environments
- Strong project management and organizational skills
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with PKI tools (Venafi, DigiCert, Microsoft CA, etc.)
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OCP) and hybrid operations
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms
- Experience with DevOps, or automation frameworks
- Understanding of cryptography fundamentals
- Prior experience with digital certificate management at scale
- Vendor management
