Personal Trainer – Part Time

The Personal Trainer is responsible for designing and implementing customized fitness/wellness programs that motivate, educate, and support members in achieving their health and wellness goals. This role requires a passion for fitness, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to creating a welcoming and professional training environment. The trainer receives 60% of the session fees as commission.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fitness assessments and create individualized training programs
  • Provide one-on-one and/or small group personal training sessions
  • Educate clients on proper exercise form, equipment usage, and healthy lifestyle habits
  • Track client progress, adjust programs as needed, and celebrate member achievements
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fitness area at all times
  • Engage with members to build strong relationships and encourage retention
  • Work closely with the fitness and wellness team to support center-wide goals
  • Stay current with trends in fitness, wellness, and exercise science
  • Assist with orientations, promotional events, and workshops as needed
  • Adhere to all club policies and always maintain professional conduct
Qualifications:
  • Over two (2) years of proven personal training experience required
  • Current nationally accredited personal training certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA) or equivalent certification/licensure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred
  • CPR/AED certification required
  • Strong communication, motivation, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
