Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Club Development Program Manager is responsible for supporting the department in strengthening the operational, commercial, and non-sporting capabilities of member clubs. The role focuses on assessing club needs, designing and implementing tailored development plans, coordinating with internal league departments, and monitoring club progress against predefined KPIs to ensure alignment with the league’s strategic objectives and long-term growth.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Core Accountabilities:

     

    Club Assessment & Diagnostics: Conduct structured assessments of club operations to identify development gaps and opportunities

     

    Development Planning: Design and implement tailored club development plans in collaboration with SPL departments.

     

    Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with club leadership and SPL internal stakeholders.

     

    Monitoring & Reporting: Track club progress against KPIs and prepare periodic reports for league leadership.

  • Specific Accountabilities: 

    Problem Solving & Advisory: Support clubs in resolving operational challenges and coordinating league resources

     

    Strategic Program Support: Contribute to planning and executing club development initiatives aligned with SPL strategy

Key Performance Indicators: 

  • Progress of clubs against defined development KPIs
  • Successful implementation of club development plans
  • Club engagement and satisfaction with SPL support
  • Timely delivery of program reports and insights
  • Improvement in club operational capabilities
  • Progress of clubs against defined development KPIs

 

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Qualifications: 

    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sports Management, or a related field. 

     

    Professional certification in Project or Program Management (PMP, Prince2, etc.) is an advantage

     

    Experience in project or program management, experience working with sports organizations or football clubs is preferred

     

     

    Knowledge and Skills:

     

     

    Understanding of football club operations and sports industry dynamics

     

    Strong program and project management skills

     

    Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

     

    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

     

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
