Job Description:

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Complete S.A.F.E. observations Monthly (1)
  • Inspect and test products for quality defects using a variety of inspection
  • Report quality issues and concerns to various departments
  • Ensure all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules.
  • Lead sorter operations
  • Maintain organization of HFI warehouse location
  • Run AQL’s when needed
  • Release pallets from PSA
  • Manage gage cleaning program
  • Support execution of monthly audits
  • Inspect dunnage prior to use on the line
  • Audit various applications to product to ensure SOP specifications are met
  • Control non-conforming product by identifying and isolating defective material
  • Analyze spoilage, record causes, and take corrective actions where applicable.
  • Monitor processes and reports all problems to supervision through interaction and required paperwork.
  • Follow all SOP requirements and intercedes or challenges proper personnel when defects are present in production runs.
  • Notify supervisor of any incidences of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken and of any poor quality material or supplies noted.
  • Interact and report to/with the Quality Manager in creation and revisions of SOP's (standard operating procedures) as changes and additions require.
  • Keep area safe, clean, and organized.
  • Hazardous waste duties as assigned
  • Train Team Members new to the department
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years of production experience, specifically in the areas of quality assurance or production control experience.
  • Experience with maintaining accurate records as well as experience with accurate measurement capability.
  • Strong computer skills with a focus on the Microsoft Office package.
  • Knowledge and work history of focusing on quality and safety in every aspect of the job.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.
  • Excellent and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred Requirements

  • An Associate's Degree or equivalent is a benefit as well as any quality related training or certification.
  • Working experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience using AS400/iBMI software

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb steps/ladders or crawl 
  • The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus

Working Conditions

  • Generally works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic 
  • The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
  • The noise level is frequently loud
