About the RoleThis is a temporary, benefitted opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist Generalist to make an immediate impact in patient care and clinical operations.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring safe, effective, and timely medication use across a variety of care settings. From reviewing complex medication orders to supporting clinical teams and guiding pharmacy staff, your expertise will directly support better outcomes for patients.

What You’ll Do
You’ll serve as a trusted clinical resource while also supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include:
Review, evaluate, and dispense medication orders, including:
Unit dose medications
IV preparations and total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
Chemotherapy and investigational agents
Collaborate with prescribers and nursing staff to support safe and effective medication therapy
Monitor patient drug therapies and recommend adjustments or cost-effective alternatives when appropriate
Counsel patients on the proper use of prescribed medications
Oversee and guide pharmacy technicians in daily workflow and technical tasks
Help ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
What You’ll Bring

Successful candidates will have:
A PharmD (or equivalent) and current pharmacist licensure (or eligibility)
Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting
Confidence working with complex therapies, including IV medications and oncology treatments
Strong attention to detail and sound clinical judgment
Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Starting salary: $144,241 annually, plus comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications:
Required Education and ExperienceLicense Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York
Education and Experience
1. Doctor of Pharmacy degree; or
2. Master’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience; or
3. Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience.
NOTES:
1. Incumbents must be credentialed as a member of the organization Medical Staff (Allied Health Professional) within four months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
