Job Description

Research: Conduct independent or CMM-faculty mentored research or scholarship. Submit research for publication in peer-reviewed journals and/or contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. Present findings at departmental seminars and professional meetings. Teaching : Teach anatomy to medical students in the Fall Semester, including laboratory instruction, select lectures, and completing competency evaluations. Teach undergraduate, graduate, and Pre-Medical Admissions Pathway students in a 5-week intensive Summer Session (CMM 401/501): Human Gross Anatomy course, including laboratory instruction and workshops. Teach anatomy to high school students in community outreach programs. Perform prosections as needed for the medical curriculum. Mentorship : Assist in the supervision of 4th year medical students in a preceptorship course, CMM 896: Gross Anatomy Laboratory Assistance. Assist in the supervision of 4th year medical students in advanced special dissection projects in CMM 899G: Selected Topics in Human Gross Anatomy. Help revise exam questions and set up / proctor practical laboratory examinations. Participate in continuing medical education courses in the anatomy laboratory. Knowledge, Skills Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to independently develop reports and manuscripts and present findings in tabular, oral, written, and/or graphic formats.
