About the role Summary

We are seeking a detailed-oriented Finance Executive (GL) to handle and manage month-end closing activities and preparation of financial reports and statement. This role will support internal and external audits, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to performs related duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage timely and accurate month-end closing activities.
• Prepare management fee calculation for inter-company billings.
• Prepare accounting journal entries, fixed assets schedule, supporting schedules and reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit various monthly financial reports for management. Upload financial reports and pass reclass journal in IBM Cognos systems.
• Prepare tax computation, related parties transaction and contractual commitment quarterly.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Check and approve staff reimbursement claim in Workday.
• Correspond with colleagues from other departments and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Assist with audits and liaise with auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in the real estate or property development industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends
• Proficient in the use of financial software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulations in Malaysia
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work
