Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Technical Services Specialist – North Vietnam. you are required to collaborate with Sales or marketing team, approach customers with right technology, product, service and good inter- personal relationship targeting to capture the business opportunity or maintain existing business effectively and efficiently.
Provide technical service to internal functions within NEAV such as to introduce the cost-effective raw materials, improve production efficiency & product quality, reduce stock level or uplift EHS performance.
This position will be based in Hanoi, Vietnam.
As a Technical Services Specialist – North Vietnam you will:
EHS, ETHICS AND COMPLIANCE:
- Fully comply with all safety, health and environmental, Ethics and Compliance related to company guidelines and standards.
TECHNICAL CAPABILITY ESTABLISHMENT:
Always take action to uplift personal technical capability such as to improve the efficiency of development or technical service:
- Conduct verification work in lab, machine hall or at customer site if any assumption, hypothesis or ideas been identified.
- Find opportunities to learn, search or approach any technical resource related to PU technology.
- Get familiar with the effects of the relevant raw materials, the operation window of products, processing conditions, and the effect of machine/ molds design.
TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT AND SERVICE:
Capture business and maintain existing business effectively and efficiently.
- Identify the new business opportunity, requirements and constraints, then influence the resources, technical or non-technical, to capture the opportunity.
- Lead the technical development/ transfer process, conclude the development strategy with business/ commercial team, and communicate with relevant supporting functions, no matter within Asia, EU or USA, to gain the required Technical, Supply Chain or Operation supports, targeting to accomplish development work.
- Lead the processes of new product introduction and verification, and influence customer to phase in our system effectively and efficiently, and coordinate with internal functions to solve all kinds of supply obstacles.
- Act as a contact window for handling customer complaint or request related to production failure at customer site.
Provide the contingency plan for both customer and internal functions
Identify the problem in operation at customer site or root cause of product quality deviation at Huntsman plant.
Communicate with customer or HPU internal functions to adopt effective correction actions for avoiding the problem repeated.
INTERNAL SERVICE:
- Beside formula, also transfer detailed manufacturing, raw materials and quality information to Production or Supply Chain team once a new product is confirmed to be commercialized.
- Give support for handling issues related to production, quality, operation or EHS to production, operation or front-line team.
- Give support for handling slow moving, returned goods or off spec products such as to minimize the stock or working capital caused with.
COMMUNICATION & REPORTING:
- Communicate aggressively with both customers and internal functions such as to facilitate the execution of TS role.
- Offer frequent or task report according to the requirements of line manager or company standards.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
Education: Bachelor or above degree with major in chemical-related fields
Language: Good English writing & speaking.
Experience:
- More than 3 years’ working experience in chemical industry- technical fields (technical service, technical development, QA, QC, chemical analysis,, etc.), PU-related and with multi-national companies are a plus.
Specific Features:
