Job Description

Position: Blender Operator Location: Oakville, OntarioStatus: Permanent, full time (1) – Replacement position due to an employee departure Schedule: Afternoon Shift – Monday to Thursday, 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM (10-hour shifts)   We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Blender Operator to join our Manufacturing team at our Oakville facility.   Our Oakville facility specializes in the development and application of innovative functional food ingredient systems that enhance texture, stability, shelf life, and flavor in a wide range of processed foods, beverages, and dairy products.   As a Blender Operator, you will play a key role in our production process by accurately preparing, measuring, and blending ingredients according to established formulas and specifications. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality, maintaining efficient production operations, and adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and health and safety requirements. We put our people first and that is the guiding principle for our continued success in our industry.    Some of the responsibilities of the Blender Operator include: Prepare and load ingredients into blending equipment according to production formulas and specifications Operate blending and mixing equipment safely and efficiently to meet production requirements Accurately label, package, and prepare finished products for shipment or storage Handle, stack, and move product bags, including repetitive lifting of up to 25 kg Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and other motorized equipment, as required Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by performing routine housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning production and warehouse areas Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and production procedures to ensure product quality and consistency Adhere to all Quadra Health & Safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, including the Occupational Health & Safety Act Identify and report workplace hazards and actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives Complete all required training programs, including WHMIS, AODA, Health & Safety, and food safety training Collaborate with production, warehouse, and plant personnel to support operational efficiency and team objectives Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Production Supervisor, Plant Manager, or other members of the management team   What are the requirements and skills needed for this role? High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to work a Monday to Thursday afternoon shift from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM (4 x 10-hour shifts per week) Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements throughout the shift Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 25 kg on a regular basis Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail to accurately measure, weigh, and record production information Strong work ethic with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach At Quadra, we offer not only an engaging culture, a collaborative, family-oriented and supportive environment, but also plenty of autonomy and flexibility. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline only. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, education, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. Base salary is only a part of the total rewards package - this role will also be eligible for a generous incentive program and benefits.
