ICF is looking for the SAP Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Specialist who would be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) reports and semantic layers (universes) to support enterprise reporting requirements within the Deltek Maconomy ERP environment.
This role ensures high-quality, scalable reporting solutions that enable financial, operational, and management insights while maintaining strong governance, audit compliance, and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
1. SAP BI / BusinessObjects Reporting Development
Design and develop complex Web Intelligence (Webi) reports using multiple data providers and sources
Implement advanced reporting features including prompts, filters, drill-downs, sections, and aggregations
Build dynamic and interactive reports aligned to business requirements and stakeholder needs
Enable scheduled reporting and report bursting for automated distribution
2. Universe (Semantic Layer) Design & Development
Develop and maintain SAP BO Universes (UDT/IDT) for Maconomy reporting
Define objects, classes, joins, contexts, filters, and derived tables
Resolve data modelling complexities including loops, traps, and performance bottlenecks
Ensure universes reflect accurate business logic and financial structures
3. Maconomy ERP Data Integration
Translate Maconomy data structures (projects, finance, resource data, etc.) into reporting models
Support Maconomy upgrades and ensure reporting compatibility across versions
Troubleshoot data inconsistencies between Maconomy and reporting outputs
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure end-to-end data alignment
4. Requirements & Delivery Management
Engage with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements (BRD → SDD translation)
Lead report design discussions and validate outputs meet business objectives
Deliver reporting solutions within agreed timelines and quality standards
Support Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning and backlog management
5. Governance, Audit & Controls
Implement row-level security and data access controls in reports and universes
Support SOX/audit requirements through controlled reporting processes
Participate in audit reviews and ensure reporting compliance
Maintain documentation of data logic, report definitions, and changes
6. BI Platform Administration & Support
Manage SAP BO environment (CMC, user access, promotions, version control)
Perform system monitoring and server health checks
Support deployment, migration, and release management activities
Troubleshoot report failures, performance issues, and data discrepancies
7. Continuous Improvement & Capability Building
Identify opportunities to optimise reporting performance and usability
Standardise reporting frameworks and reusable components
Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior team members
Contribute to BI strategy aligned to Maconomy Systems operating model
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Master or Bachelors Degree with minimum 4years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting
SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) Suite: Web Intelligence (Webi), CMC, UDT/IDT
Strong experience in Universe Design (joins, contexts, derived tables, performance tuning)
Solid SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
Experience integrating BI reporting with ERP systems (preferably Deltek Maconomy)
Functional Skills
Strong understanding of finance and operational reporting in ERP environments
Ability to convert business requirements into scalable reporting solutions
Experience supporting enterprise-level reporting and analytics functions
Governance & Delivery
Experience working within controlled environments (audit, SOX, change management)
Proven ability to manage reporting delivery within Agile or structured frameworks.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
