Job Description
Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a seasoned Finacle Product Engineer to lead the design, customization, integration, and support of Finacle-based banking solutions. This role combines domain expertise in Finacle with hands-on scripting, API development, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver end-to-end enterprise capabilities. The ideal candidate will drive enhancements across CMS/customization layers, ensure quality and compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives in a regulated banking environment.
Software Requirements
Required Skills (Essential)
Strong hands-on experience with Finacle Core Banking, including Finacle scripting and knowledge of card processing domains
Proficiency in Finacle customization and integration points (APIs, Finacle Integrator, and related interfaces)
Experience with REST APIs and architecture for core banking integrations
Solid knowledge of SQL and data modeling for banking data, including data validation and ETL considerations
Experience working in Agile environments and participating in cross-functional ceremonies
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to interact with business units across locations
Preferred Skills
Finacle certification from Infosys or equivalent vendor-specific credentials
Experience with banking compliance and audit readiness in technology work
Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD, and release management
Exposure to cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP) in banking contexts
Knowledge of advanced testing and validation approaches for core banking suites
Overall Responsibilities
Lead the customization, integration, and ongoing support of Finacle-based solutions across multiple business units
Design technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans for new features and enhancements
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA, and operations teams to capture requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions
Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to development standards across projects
Participate in code and design reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and promoting best practices
Manage vendor interactions, project timelines, and risk mitigation strategies
Stay current with Finacle releases, banking technology trends, and regulatory changes to inform backlog and roadmap decisions
Support data governance, security controls, and audit readiness within Finacle-related implementations
Document configurations, integration points, and operational procedures for ongoing support

6+ years of experience working with Finacle in architecture, customization, or integration roles
Proven track record delivering Finacle-based projects in a banking context
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations
Willingness to engage in continuous learning about Finacle updates and banking technology trends
Alternative pathways: substantial hands-on Finacle CMS customization projects or relevant certifications
Day-to-Day Activities
Analyze business requirements and translate them into Finacle customization and integration work
Design and implement changes across CMS modules, interfaces, and APIs
Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA, and operations to ensure smooth deployments
Review code and design artifacts; participate in architecture discussions
Troubleshoot production issues and drive timely resolutions
Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and change control
Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Finacle-related experience and domain knowledge in banking/card services are highly valued
Certifications in Finacle, banking technology, or related disciplines are a plus
