Job Description

Accountabilities:

  • Review and interpret royalty-related contract terms using EXARI/Conga to identify contract references, payment obligations, royalty rates, reporting requirements, and key commercial clauses.

  • Process royalty payments based on executed contracts received, ensuring payments are accurate, timely, and aligned with contractual terms.

  • Validate contract data, including payee information, effective dates, payment schedules, royalty percentages, territories, products, and applicable deductions.

  • Maintain accurate records of contract references, payment calculations, approvals, and supporting documentation.

  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Contract/Content Management teams to clarify contract terms and resolve discrepancies.

  • Track incoming contracts and ensure required royalty payment actions are completed within established deadlines.

  • Prepare royalty payment calculations and supporting schedules for review and approval.

  • Reconcile royalty obligations against contract terms, payment history, and internal financial records.

  • Investigate and resolve payment issues, including missing contract references, incomplete documentation, rate discrepancies, and vendor/payee questions.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, approval workflows, audit requirements, and company payment policies.

  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to royalty accruals, payments, and reporting.

  • Generate reports on royalty payment status, outstanding contracts, pending approvals, and completed transactions.

  • Maintain confidentiality of contract, financial, and payee information.

  • Recommend process improvements to enhance royalty payment accuracy, contract tracking, and workflow efficiency within EXARI/Conga and related systems.

  • Assist with audits by providing contract references, payment backup, calculation details, and documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or any Accounting-related field

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance

  • Strong understanding of accounting principes

  • Ability to analyze and explain account balances beyond system-generated data

  • Good interpersonal skills; and ability to work with a diverse group of people

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be independent yet a strong team player

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.
