The Senior Manager, Finance plays a critical role in driving financial planning, analysis, and risk mitigation to support business performance. This position leads complex financial modeling, develops control structures, and partners with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting transparency and operational efficiency. The role involves communicating key financial insights to senior management, guiding business decisions, and overseeing multiple projects to meet organizational goals. Additionally, the Senior Manager fosters team development, ensures compliance with company policies, and promotes a culture of integrity and continuous improvement within the finance function.About the team:
The Sam’s Club Experience Finance team integrates strategy, finance, and member experience to support key business areas including Membership, Marketing, and Advertising. The team evaluates investments, drives growth initiatives, and delivers data-driven insights that enhance member engagement and create long-term business value. Collaborating across functions, the team plays a vital role in shaping how Sam’s Club acquires, engages, and retains members. This dynamic group focuses on financial planning, analysis, and risk management to support informed decision-making and sustainable growth aligned with company goals.
What you'll do...
- Prepare detailed financial analyses and models to support planning and recommend future expense targets.
- Manage complex control structures to mitigate financial risks and enhance reporting transparency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve financial processes and controls.
- Communicate financial results, forecasts, and variances to senior management with clear presentations.
- Drive execution of business plans by identifying needs, setting priorities, and measuring progress.
- Lead, mentor, and develop associates, fostering a high-performing team environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and standards while promoting continuous improvement.
- Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling to support strategic business decisions.
- Proven ability to manage complex control structures and mitigate financial risks effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring, developing, and managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally and present financial insights to senior management.
- Demonstrated capability to drive business plans, measure performance, and implement continuous improvements.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
1 year’s supervisory experience.
