Our Clinical Negligence team is highly regarded for providing strategic, cost-effective, and robust legal advice to NHS Trusts, insurers, and healthcare providers. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Paralegal to support both legal casework and administrative operations within the team. This is a dual-function role where you will assist fee earners in progressing clinical negligence claims while also supporting the team with essential administrative duties. The role would suit an organised and motivated individual with an interest in clinical negligence, litigation, and legal process management. This role can be based from Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool or Birmingham on a hybrid basis which is flexible. Responsibilities Assist with the management of clinical negligence claims under supervision. Prepare chronologies, draft correspondence, and review medical records. Liaise with clients, courts, counsel, and experts. Conduct legal research and maintain case management systems. Prepare bundles for hearings and conferences. Attend client meetings and case conferences as required. Monitor and diarise court dates, deadlines, and key tasks. What will help you succeed in this role? Essential Previous experience in a legal support role, preferably within clinical negligence, personal injury, or insurance litigation. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication. Confidence in dealing with medical records and legal documents. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems (e.g., Proclaim, Visualfiles, or similar). Team player with a proactive and flexible approach. Desirable Law degree or equivalent legal qualification (e.g., LPC, SQE preparation). Previous experience in defendant clinical negligence work is advantageous. What we offer?
