Director of Plumbing School

The Opportunity

As we expand, UHP is launching Ignite America Trade Schools—a modernized approach to skilled trades education focused on hands-on learning, immersive training environments, simulation, emerging technology, and workforce readiness.

We are not building traditional trade schools. We are building scalable, industry-aligned programs designed to develop highly capable professionals and leaders within the skilled trades.

UHP is seeking a Director of Plumbing School to lead the design, development, and launch of a modern plumbing education program within Ignite America Trade Schools.

This individual will play a critical role in building curriculum, developing instructors, creating industry partnerships, and establishing a scalable skilled trades program designed to prepare individuals for meaningful careers.

The ideal candidate is a builder, leader, educator, and operator who thrives in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment and is excited to help create something from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities below are intended to outline the primary duties of the role and may evolve as UHP continues to grow.

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of the plumbing training program

  • Build scalable curriculum aligned with workforce and industry needs

  • Develop immersive hands-on learning experiences across residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems

  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and support plumbing instructors

  • Establish instructional standards and classroom expectations

  • Build relationships with contractors, employers, and industry partners

  • Support apprenticeship and workforce pipeline initiatives

  • Assist with planning and development of training labs, equipment, and learning environments

  • Maintain safety, compliance, and operational standards across training environments

  • Partner cross-functionally with leadership and operations teams

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of plumbing industry experience

  • Experience in training, instruction, workforce development, or apprenticeship leadership

  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial plumbing systems

  • Experience with code compliance, troubleshooting, and installation practices

  • Experience leading teams, instructors, or technical personnel

  • Strong communication and organizational leadership skills

  • Ability to build programs, systems, and processes from the ground up

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman or Master Plumber License

  • NCCER experience or familiarity

  • Experience building or scaling technical training programs

  • Experience developing curriculum or instructional content

  • Military or veteran community experience

Schedule & Work Environment

Schedule: Flexible schedule based on program delivery and campus operational needs, including varying days and hours, occasional evenings and weekends, and support of immersive student experiences.

Work Environment: Fully onsite at 25200 Ranch Road, Gentry, AR 72734 in a dynamic environment supporting classroom instruction, hands-on training labs, shop environments, and student engagement.
