
Senior Planner( Industrial & Energy Transition)
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Delivery
Lead or support end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines, quality standards, and client expectations
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (industrial, energy, infrastructure, environment) to deliver integrated solutions
2. Spatial Planning & Design
Lead master planning and spatial design for industrial parks and related developments
Develop land use frameworks, zoning strategies, analytical diagrams and so on.
Translate industrial strategies into implementable spatial and land use plans
3. Industrial & Energy Transition Integration
Collaborate with industrial and energy teams to develop low-carbon strategies (e.g. energy systems, resource circularity, industrial symbiosis)
Integrate energy systems and infrastructure into spatial and industrial planning frameworks
4. Reporting & Presentation
Prepare high-quality reports and deliverables with clear structure and strong narrative
Present concepts and project updates effectively to clients and senior stakeholders
5. Tools & Methodology Application
Apply digital tools and AI (e.g. modelling, analytics, automation) to enhance delivery efficiency and output quality
6. International Project Support
Participate in international projects, including travel across Southeast Asia, Africa, and China for site work and client engagement
Qualifications
1. Experience & Background
7–15 years of experience in planning, urban design, or industrial development
Experience in industrial parks, economic zones, or large-scale developments is preferred
2. Technical Competencies
Strong capabilities in spatial planning and design, with a solid sense of spatial logic and aesthetics
Familiarity with, and demonstrated experience in, Singapore’s industrial landscape and development would be advantageous
Good understanding of industrial development trends and energy transition (e.g. low-carbon parks, renewable energy, circular economy)
3. Communication Skills
Strong report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
Proficiency in Malay, Arabic, or Chinese is an advantage
4. Digital & Tool Proficiency
Proficient in PowerPoint and relevant planning/design tools
Experience in applying AI tools to enhance workflows is a plus
5. Personal Attributes
Strong ownership, execution capability, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Team-oriented, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced environment
