Location: Hanover Park, IL
Type: Full-time
- Monitors, expedites, and documents the status of deliveries of incoming materials by contact with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Prepare and process export/import documentation, including commercial invoices, airway bills, and customs forms.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and TSA regulations.
- Manage and track shipments, including monitoring transit times and customs.
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies and issues related to shipments and documentation.
- Enter custom entries/ audit 7501.
- Maintains daily contact with the Receiving Department, product management team, customer service, and accounting personnel.
- Receives, reviews, and addresses corrections on import documentation required for timely payment, arrival of goods, and for the prevention and reduction of fines/fees regarding such shipments.
- Scanning/transmitting documents to brokers and outside warehouses for transfers and outside manufacturing vendors.
- Support and correspond with Prinova US entities with current, accurate information about their delivery and receipts.
- Booking of domestic loads.
- Keep the HTS codes database current in the ERP system.
- Update system with any FDA holds.
- Any additional projects to be assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain preferred
- 1+ years of experience in Import/Export preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite or related software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity or general aptitude for ERP systems is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Work environment is normally in an office setting.
- Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Other physical requirements include moderate standing and occasional squatting, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
