This temporary position is located at 301 N. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC -Wake County with the Department of Public Instruction   

 
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).  
 
Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.  The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.  

Management Preferences:  

  • The primary purpose of the Licensure Program Coordinator I position is to provide licensure technical support, application status review, licensure data entry, guidance for submitting licensure applications, and financial services support for the Licensure Section.
  • Employee will answer a high volume of calls generated through an automated operational call system.
  • This position provides licensure staff assistance that include, but is not limited to, processing fee inquiries and payments, monitor incoming and outgoing mail, and email correspondences generated by internal and external systems.
  • The employee will have significant contact with educators and other shareholders to provide licensure guidance, while forwarding more complex issues to an Education Specialist for further consultation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
