Job Description
Job Summary
Responsible for driving a tractor-trailer in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures to transport various materials in a safe and timely manner.

Function in the Job
Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job Function
Be prepared to deliver materials to company customers as specified on paperwork.
Maintain and coordinate appropriate deliver/pickup related paperwork
Properly secure and cover delivery and pick up loads according to DOT regulations and company policy or as directed by management.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report to traffic department
Maintain logs and other appropriate paperwork as required by DOT regulation and company policy
Back hauling of loads as required
Complete periodic communications to Traffic Department upon completion of each delivery and / or pickup stop
Must be flexible to constantly changing conditions as they relate to work schedule and project site conditions
Safety sensitive for his/her owns safety and/or of others safety.
All drivers must attend all required training including quarterly and annual training.
Demonstrated initiative to proactively seek out work and complete tasks
Enthusiastic team player with a motivating positive attitude
Committed to a workplace of culture and respect.
Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality
Comply with all DOT, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCRs), and/or Company Policy regarding the operations of your vehicle.
Special projects as assigned by management.
Required Skills
High school or equivalent diploma with training in the operation of tractor trailer combinations.
C.D.L. A license required.
