The opportunity
Are you an experienced Mechanical Building Designer looking to make a real impact on Toronto’s built environment? BPA is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative individual to join our team, where you’ll contribute to a broad range of mechanical building systems projects spanning institutional, commercial and residential sectors.
In this role, you’ll take part in all phases of design and coordination, working closely with engineers and technicians to bring tailored, innovative solutions to life. You’ll engage in site surveys, project analysis, cost estimations, and technical reporting, all while enhancing your skills alongside supportive mentors and colleagues.

Your daily impact
Technical design and coordination of various mechanical building systems projects
Work closely with engineers and technicians to develop solutions tailored to client needs and carry out building mechanics projects for various sectors (institutional, office, commercial, cultural and residential)
Survey existing installations alongside the mentor
Analyze, design and adapt installations related to building mechanics
Help produce construction cost estimates
Help draft specifications and technical reports
Provide assistance in regard to site supervision
Your profile
Minimum 5 years of experience in building mechanical design.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM experience strongly preferred.
Experience attending or supporting client and stakeholder meetings.
EIT, CET, or P.Eng. designation (or eligibility) considered an asset.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.
