Senior Accountant

The Finance area is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the company’s financial information and accounting operations across the organization. As we build a financial institution from the ground up, this role plays a critical part in maintaining strong financial governance, supporting regulatory compliance, enabling strategic decision-making, and ensuring scalable and sustainable financial operations.

Challenges that await you:

• Co-building and scaling the accounting and financial reporting structure from the ground up in a fast-growing fintech environment.
• Managing and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Preparing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate financial reports, supporting management decision-making and business planning activities.
• Ensuring proper accounting treatment and documentation for financial transactions, operational activities, and new business initiatives.
• Collaborating closely with Finance, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Treasury, Product, and external stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and operational alignment.
• Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls, policies, and reporting frameworks to strengthen governance and scalability.
• Identifying accounting, reporting, and operational inefficiencies while driving automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Managing accounting records, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial documentation with high standards of organization, traceability, and audit readiness.
• Operating effectively in highly dynamic environments with evolving processes, systems, and regulatory expectations while helping formalize scalable accounting structures.
• Supporting audits, tax processes, regulatory reporting, financial reviews, and external reporting requirements through reliable and well-structured financial information.
• Balancing strong financial control standards with operational efficiency and business scalability in a high-growth environment.

What makes you a great fit:

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit, or Controllership roles within financial institutions, fintechs, startups, consulting firms, or highly regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, reconciliations, closing processes, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience managing complex accounting operations, financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and reporting activities.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify accounting risks, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems, accounting platforms, financial systems, SQL, or similar technologies are highly valued.
• Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, tax processes, and external reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to thrive in environments where processes are built from scratch, not inherited, and where structure evolves alongside rapid growth.
• Highly proactive and hands-on, with the autonomy to lead accounting initiatives and deliver results effectively in fast-paced environments with limited supervision.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across multiple teams.
• Creative, resilient, and deeply motivated to help build and scale a regulated financial institution from the ground up.
• Energized by financial and operational challenges and motivated by high-impact, execution-focused environments.
• CPA certification or equivalent accounting qualification is highly valued.
• Conversational English is a must-have requirement.
