Job Description:

This position will be based in Tampa, Florida.

Reporting directly to the HR Director Food and Household, the Division Human Resources Manager responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:   

  • Act as first-line HR contact for division employees (technical services, quality, sales, engineering, finance, etc.) regarding talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, engagement, etc.
  • Serve as backup to vacant Plant HR Manager positions. Support Plant Manager during the recruitment process and onboarding of new HRM.
  • Support Plant HR Managers with divisional questions/initiatives
  • Documenting all appropriate investigations and maintaining proper files.
  • Responsible for Forward Program including but not limited to, posting requisitions, reviewing candidates, coordinating with managers, interviewing candidates, offer letters, pre-employment screenings, onboarding, etc.
  • Responsible for coordination of Internships throughout the division
  • Responsible for all the areas before, during, and after related to talent acquisition for divisional roles.  Including but not limited to, posting requisitions, reviewing candidates, coordinating with recruiters, interviewing candidates, offer letters, pre-employment screenings, onboarding, etc.
  • Participation in Food and Household Plant Focus Group meetings
  • Liaison with the Corporate Human Resources team on various matters as a member of the company-wide Human Resources Team 
  • Track & maintain divisional HR metrics
  • Provides hands-on employee relations and support to employees. Coordinate employee communications and meetings to keep employees informed.
  • Support Plant HR Managers with employee relations or labor relation issues including but are not limited to; resolving conflicts, implementing disciplinary procedures, developing and rolling out improvement plans, investigating and resolving harassment claims, and implementing required employee actions.
  • Coordination of medical coverage and questions with Corporate Insurance
  • Coordination of FMLA, Workers Comp, and other related leave issues
  • HRIS system administration – Workday and AS400
  • Maintenance of employee files and records
  • Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements

In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business or a related discipline
  • 5+ years in HR roles of progressing responsibilities
  • 2+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Approximately 30-40% overnight travel

  • Strong project management skills with a history of delivering results. 
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adapt as business needs dictate. 
  • Proven success in talent acquisition at all levels.
  • Experience developing and facilitating training.
  • Strong relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational leadership skills a plus, i.e., strategy development/implementation, change management, employee engagement, presentation development/delivery skills, etc.
  • Demonstrated employee relations skills.
  • Experience developing, building, and maintaining strong business partnerships.
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as working independently and self-directed.
  • Detailed and process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  
  • May lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. 

Working Conditions

  • Generally work in an office setting but will be required to perform some job duties inside a plant environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.  
  • May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
  • The noise level is frequently loud.
