Job Description
As the Personal Trainer, you will enrich lives each day by assisting, monitoring, and instructing residents in the safe and effective use of equipment and weight machines in order to meet their personal fitness goals and needs. You will conduct fitness consultations and assessments in order to help develop individualized fitness programs that ensure resident safety and follow each resident's care plan.
Ideal candidates will have:

A four-year college degree in an exercise science-related discipline or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Current personal training certification through a NCCA accredited organization is required
At least five years' experience working as a Certified Personal Trainer
Experience personal training older adults/seniors, corrective exercise, and associated certifications, as deemed appropriate by HR
Experience instructing group exercise classes, including strength/balance/stretching/yoga - both standing and chair formats
Experience promoting and selling personal training and group fitness classes
A positive, upbeat, and energetic approach to health, wellness, teamwork, and hospitality
Experience working with aging adults and/or special fitness populations; experience in a retirement community setting is a plus
Be able to work on your feet most of the day on a regular basis, and ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or be willing to obtain upon hire
