What you’ll contribute to
An exciting permanent full-time opportunity within our Learning & Development team in People & Culture, as a Senior Professional Development Consultant.
The People & Culture Division leads the delivery of strategic, people-focused initiatives across Toyota, fostering a safe and inclusive environment where employees can reach their full potential. Through a shared services HR model, it provides best-practice consultancy, training, and development to Toyota employees and One Toyota affiliates. This includes end-to-end organisational development supported by professional training, alongside HR advisory services spanning health and safety, remuneration and benefits, employee relations, and talent acquisition—all enabled by leading technology platforms and systems.
The Senior Professional Development Consultant is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating impactful learning and development solutions that build capability and align with strategic workforce priorities. Partnering closely with leaders and subject matter experts, this role develops targeted programs that support professional growth, leadership capability, and career pathways. It also provides mentorship and guidance to fellow consultants while driving continuous improvement across the learning portfolio.
This opportunity is based at our Altona office with flexible work arrangements on offer.
How you’ll make an impact
Design, develop, and deliver high-impact professional development programs and learning pathways aligned to organisational capability priorities and strategic objectives
Drive the delivery of leadership and management development initiatives across all organisational levels, ensuring relevance, scalability, and measurable outcomes
Design and develop engaging, user-centred eLearning solutions that prioritise learner experience, harnessing modern digital design principles and tools to create intuitive, impactful learning content
Partner with senior stakeholders and external providers to co-create pragmatic, business-aligned learning solutions that are embedded into day-to-day operations
Lead end-to-end learning project management, including planning, execution, governance, and evaluation
Continuously identify and implement opportunities to enhance learning effectiveness, leveraging innovative design approaches, emerging practices, and data-driven insights

Demonstrated experience designing, coordinating, and delivering high-impact learning solutions that drive measurable capability uplift
Proven expertise in facilitating learning experiences for senior audiences, with the confidence and credibility to engage, challenge, and influence leaders and diverse audiences across the organisation
Strong capability in developing high-quality eLearning experiences, combining instructional design expertise with a focus on interactivity, storytelling, and learner-centric design
Deep understanding and practical application of adult learning principles, with the ability to design engaging, experiential programs that translate into sustained behaviour change
Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving capability, with a strong ability to diagnose business needs and translate them into innovative, practical learning interventions
Strong project management discipline, with the ability to lead multiple complex learning and development initiatives, balance competing priorities, and manage diverse stakeholder groups to deliver to time, within scope, and to quality standards
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment desirable
