Auria is looking to hire a System Administrator to support a classified mission operations program for the U.S. Space Force. This role administers and maintains the classified Windows/Linux domain supporting the program's development and test environment, ensuring systems remain current, secure, and available throughout all program phases.

Primary work location is Colorado Springs, CO (hybrid). Travel to Government and Auria facilities may be required.
 
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
  • Administer and maintain the classified Windows/Linux domain supporting the program development and test environment.
  • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain all Windows and Linux-based servers, applications, and storage systems in the classified environment.
  • Ensure all systems maintain current patches, security updates, and antivirus definitions in compliance with DoW STIGrequirements.
  • Create and maintain system administration processes, procedures, and group policy objects; manage security groups and user accounts.
  • Implement and verify backup and recovery procedures; ensure data protection is consistent with COOP and BCP guidelines.
  • Respond to security or virus incidents; coordinate with the Cybersecurity Lead on incident handling and remediation.
  • Support the DevSecOps team on system-level configuration requirements for the CI/CD pipeline (Git, Nexus, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence).
  • Recommend and implement system enhancements as the environment scales from development to operational readiness.
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Top SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related STEM field; or 8–12 years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • 8–12 years of experience in Windows and Linux system administration on classified DoW programs.
  • DoW 8140 IAT Level II certification required at start (Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or equivalent).
  • Senior Windows domain administration experience; knowledge of Active Directory, group policy, and domain security.
  • Experience with network-attached storage (NAS) administration, server backup administration, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Working knowledge of containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD platforms (Git, Nexus, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence).
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS: 
  • Current U.S. Government Top SECRET clearance.
  • Experience supporting DoW, U.S. Space Force, or Space Systems Command programs.
  • Knowledge of STIG implementation, multi-factor authentication, and security hardening procedures.
  • Experience with OpenShift, OpenStack, or VMware ESXi in a classified environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum team practices and DevSecOps tool integration.
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $107,793–$145,000

Pay Range: $107,793 - $145,000 per year
