Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through daily interactions.
- Engage in proactive collection activities via telephone calls, emails, reminders, and account statements.
- Monitor customer accounts and perform daily collection activities on overdue payments.
- Prepare collection arrangements, payment plans, or extended terms as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and process adjustments in line with company policies.
- Process customer payments and provide support with payment posting clarifications.
- Collaborate on refund processes when required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records, including portfolio clean-up, audits, and reconciliations.
- Review, validate, and recommend release of customer orders on credit hold in accordance with Envista credit policy.
- Partner with Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, and Customer Service teams to review customer status and support new order decisions.
- Drive actions to improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and reduce bad debt exposure.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- College-level education in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (e.g., Technical Degree or equivalent).
- 2–4 years of experience in similar customer-focused or collections roles.
- Credit collection certification or qualification is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other relevant applications.
- Strong ERP system experience, with SAP or Oracle proficiency required.
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Trust IT) preferred.
Critical Skills/Technical Know-How:
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced shared‑service environments, managing a high‑volume portfolio.
- Familiarity with automated dunning/collection tools (HighRadius, GetPaid, or similar).
- Understanding of the credit collections process and use of collection automation tools is desirable
Conditions
- This position is Hybrid, 3 days from the office and 2 days from home.
- Envista Holdings in Costa Rica is in Heredia, La Aurora, Ultrapark 1.
