Position Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies while maintaining productivity, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company policies and safety standards. The Warehouse Supervisor leads warehouse employees, supports production operations, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. This role will report to the Plant Manager.
This is a full-time position based at our Torrance, CA facility and will require a local candidate for on-site working each week. The expected annual salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, staging, storage, and inventory control.
Lead, coach, and support warehouse employees to ensure productivity, quality, and safety expectations are met.
Monitor staffing levels and coordinate shift coverage, overtime, and temporary labor support as needed.
Monitor WMS / ERP transactions for accuracy.
Ensure accurate inventory transactions and maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts and audits.
Responsible for troubleshooting inventory discrepancies.
Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and transportation teams to support operational needs.
Ensure all shipments are prepared accurately and completed on schedule.
Maintain compliance with GMP, OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
Conduct employee training, onboarding, performance evaluations, and corrective action documentation.
Monitor warehouse productivity, attendance, downtime, damages, and shipping accuracy.
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Enforce company policies, procedures, and work standards consistently.
Ensure proper operation and safe use of forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and warehouse equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment.
Assist with investigations involving safety incidents and employee concerns.
Set team goals related to operational excellence, teamwork, and customer satisfaction in collaboration with executive management and other team leaders.
Completes routine paperwork and maintains records as required.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or GED required
3–5 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience required.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing, food production, beverage, or high-volume distribution environment strongly preferred.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory control processes.
Forklift certification is strongly preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and industrial environments.
Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and safely operate warehouse equipment.
