JOB SUMMARY
The Cooperworks Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the laminate cabinet manufacturing facility. This position leads production activities, scheduling, quality, safety, personnel management, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational efficiency, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in custom cabinetry, woodworking, laminate fabrication, or manufacturing operations, with the ability to manage production workflows in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage and oversee daily manufacturing operations including production, assembly, shipping, scheduling, and inventory control.
- Supervise and develop a team
- Ensure production schedules and customer deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor workflow efficiency and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, purchasing, and customer service departments regarding project timelines and production requirements.
- Maintain quality standards consistent with medical manufacturing and customer specifications.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and facility procedures.
- Conduct employee coaching, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Monitor labor utilization, material usage, and operational costs.
- Troubleshoot production, equipment, and workflow issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and coordinate material requirements with purchasing.
- Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in leadership meetings and provide operational updates to senior management.
- Performs other related duties as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Experience in laminate cabinetry, millwork, woodworking, casework, or custom fabrication required
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, quality systems, and inventory management.
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
- Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.
- Proficiency with Cabinet Vision strongly preferred.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 -10 years’ experience as an operations and/or plant manager required
- Experience in laminate cabinetry, millwork, woodworking, casework, or custom fabrication required
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.

Starting Salary: $95,000-$115,000 annually or higher depending on experience.
