Experienced Electrical Safety Advisor in Engineering

Job Description
SRNS is seeking to hire an Electrical Safety Advisor within our Engineering organization. This position will provide solutions to complex site safety programs and engineering related issues in Electrical Safety working under a consultative direction.
Job responsibilities include:
• Provide expert level electrical safety assistance and advice in maintaining elements of the SRS Electrical Safety Program including site electrical engineering standards, guides, procedures, and training.
• Develop, plan and evaluate a broad range of unique initiatives and policies in support of the Electrical Safety Program.
• Provide expert knowledge of diverse electrical safety hazards and mitigation.
• Provide oversight for site electrical safety and engineering programs including: performing complex electrical safety field evaluations, reviewing and providing expert level guidance for electrical hazard evaluations, investigating electrical incidents, shocks and injuries, developing safety alerts related to electrical incidents, developing technical reports based on expert interpretation of observations and audits, participating in root cause analysis and corrective action plan development.
• Interpret regulatory requirements related to electrical safety including OSHA, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70 and ANSI C2 and provide expert advice to ensure compliance with 10 C.F.R. 851, Worker Safety and Health Program.
• Analyze changes to regulatory requirements and evaluate impacts. Serve in an advisory function for interactions with peers, regulators, DOE, DNFSB, EFCOG and other DOE contractors as requested by management.
• Perform Design Authority Engineer roles to support facility operations as needed, including low and medium voltage power distribution. Ability to perform arc flash analysis to support facility operations.
• Must be proficient at giving presentations in-person and on TEAMs.
Engineering services will be provided using SRS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRS.
