Job Description
Martin City Tavern is seeking enthusiastic, attentive, and service-oriented individuals to join our front-of-house team. As a server, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience by providing prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service in a fast-paced, casual brewery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival.
- Guide guests through the menu, offering recommendations and answering questions about food, beer, and cocktails.
- Accurately take and enter orders into the POS system.
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
- Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs, including refills and additional orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and dining areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Process payments and thank guests for their visit.
- Previous serving experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of craft beer and food pairings is a plus.
