Responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of Give & Go Canadian facilities and grounds and will provide technical support to the Operations, Maintenance, Health Safety & Environment (HSE), Quality Assurance (QA) and Engineering teams.

Assist Facilities Maintenance Manager in developing building systems maintenance policies, practices, and procedures
Identifies and develops plans to address deferred maintenance and renewal of building systems at Give & Go sites
Organizes and conducts training to Maintenance for the operation and maintenance of facilities systems.
Develop and present proposals to improve reliability and cost savings

Safely operate facilities systems to provide specified and reliable environmental conditions and utilities to Give & Go production, packaging, warehouse, laboratory, and office areas
Troubleshoot, coordinate services to repair, maintain, calibrate, alter/modify and install the following systems with Operations, Maintenance, Health Safety & Environment (HSE), Engineering, external contractors and building owner/landlord:
Roof mounted HVAC units
Boilers
Air compressors and dryers
Product storage freezers/coolers
Ammonia refrigeration systems
Building chillers and associated cooling towers, pumps and valves
Gas fired, standalone heaters
Gas fired and electric humidifiers and dehumidifiers
Wastewater treatment systems (Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF))
Building life safety systems (sprinklers, extinguishers, specialized suppression systems, fire alarm, emergency generators)
Plumbing (domestic hot and cold water)
Drains (sanitary, process, storm, grease interceptors)
Natural gas (meter to point of use)
Electrical (transformer, meter to distribution panel)
Building roofing and flooring
Building lighting
Building grounds
Obtain quotes from vendors and secure PO approvals
Compile and maintains all information and documentation relevant to all completed work
Audits and evaluates the operational effectiveness and preventive maintenance program of building systems in order make continuous improvements
Participate in Give & Go health and safety programs and environmental sustainability initiatives
Works closely and provides technical support to Operations, Maintenance, HSE, QA and Engineering teams on the delivery of capital initiatives and programs
Compile and maintains all information and documentation relevant to all completed work
Ensure all work is performed in full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), local codes / regulations, Give & Go Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions and established safety standards

Management
Assists Facilities Maintenance Manager on implementation of service contracts and managing the performance of external service providers and suppliers
Compile, analyze, and present statistical data regarding Give & Go building systems and facilities
Responds to information requests from internal (e.g. Senior Management) and external (e.g. audits) parties.

Key Responsibilities (Safety)
Key Responsibility

Follow Give & Go’s health and safety program, rules and procedures and work in compliance with health and safety-related legislation and codes

Report all incidents, injuries, illnesses, and near misses to Supervisor

Use or wear safety equipment and personal protective equipment required by Give & Go.

Report to Supervisor any hazardous or unsafe conditions, absence or defects in equipment and any contravention of health and safety legislation
Food Safety Responsibilities
Indicate any food safety responsibilities as per the local requirements, as well as noting if a trained backup is required.

Ensures food safety and food quality programs and procedures and applicable requirements of the SQF system is fully implemented and are followed at all times

Ensures there is a trained and competent backup on key personnel position
