Job Description
- Uses a grinder to smooth weld beads and blend to surrounding surfaces.
- Uses sanding equipment to smooth any surface imperfections
- Works under direct supervision on duties and tasks that are standardized, selecting from written instructions, and established procedures.
- Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in proper working order.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, where required, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect paint department operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, etc.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Effective Communication Skills - Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Attention to detail
1 - 2 years manufacturing experience preferred
Marine, Automotive, or aerospace experience preferred but not required
This position schedule is 6AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Thursday
Additional overtime required depending on manufacturing needs
New hires will require post offer background check
- Must be able to stand on concrete for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop.
- Must be able to grip and operate hand tools with a minimum of 50 in/lbs. of force
- Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs. for at least 15 feet.
- Safety Glasses must be worn at all times when in certain production areas.
- Respirator recommended.
- Enclosed non-skid shoes must be worn at all times when in the production areas.
