Welder Helper

Assist in the fabrication process to include installing and repairing pipes using welding methods, completing jobs on time and ensuring safety on a job site.

Essential Job Functions and Duties

• Unpack and put away materials

• Deliver finished products to other departments / areas

• Get raw materials from other departments / areas

• Prepare material and parts to support welders

• Assembling components so they are ready for welding

• Maintains a clean and safe working environment

Physical Requirements   

• Must be able to stand on concrete for the duration of the shift.

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop.

• Must be able to grip and operate hand tools with a minimum of 50 in/lbs. of force

• Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs. for at least 15 feet. 

• Eye Protection must be worn at all times when in certain production areas. 

• Foot Protection required

Required Education, Skills and Experience

• 1 - 2 years manufacturing experience preferred

• Marine, Automotive, or aerospace experience preferred but not required

• General knowledge of welding standards and pipework

• General knowledge of tools and equipment used in metal fabrication 

• General knowledge of measurements and measuring devices

Work Schedule / Additional Eligibility Requirements 

• Normal business hours are Monday - Friday, 8AM – 4:30PM

• This position schedule is 5:30AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Thursday Additional overtime required depending on manufacturing needs 

• New hires will require post offer background check
