Job Summary / Objective
Manufacturing Engineer drives Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives in a fast-paced marine manufacturing environment. This role partners cross-functionally with leadership and production teams to deliver measurable results through waste elimination, process standardization, and operational excellence. Based in Rockledge, Florida, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, influence key processes, and help scale a culture of continuous improvement using Google Workspace and other data-driven tools.
Essential Job Functions and Duties

Improve workstations to reduce waste and increase flow

Standardize processes, layouts, and work methods

Support and sustain audit systems (5S, process audits)

Lead and champion 5S program efforts as the subject matter expert

Lead Kaizen events with measurable results

Develop Value Stream Maps to drive flow improvements

Create work instructions and visual aids
-
Lead CAPA investigations using RCCA methods (5 Whys, Fishbone)

Support capacity analysis

Assist with EHS, hazard identification, Safety, and PPE programs

Track improvement initiatives using tools such as Asana

Contribute to the development of our Quality program

Partner with leaders to align priorities and drive progress

Serve as a point of contact for operational issues

Communicate clearly and reinforce Lean principles
-
Collaborate cross-functionally to sustain improvements

Plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects to deliver results on time

Efficiently coordinate communication between key players and drive action
Required Competencies
Experience: At least 2 years manufacturing process engineering experience.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred

Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred

Work Schedule / Travel

Normal office hours are Monday - Friday, 8AM – 4:30PM

Required depending on project needs.
Paid Time Off

80 hours of vacation and 40 hours of flex time accrued during your first year of employment

After 5 years of employment, the vacation accrual increases to 120 hours

Accrual begins on your first day of employment

Physical Requirements

Combination of shop floor and office work, requiring use of computers and office equipment as well as occasional physical tasks associated with job duties.

Safety glasses and Safety footwear are mandatory everywhere on the shop floor.
