Job Description
Location: McLean, VA
- Collect, analyze, and interpret Congressional activities, statements, and legislation (draft and final) impacting the IC.
- Deliver real-time or near-real-time alerts on legislative developments to enable proactive responses.
- Develop and support outreach and engagement plans that identify IC activities requiring communication with Congress.
- Prepare ODNI staff for Hill interactions, including drafting talking points, developing materials, and reviewing content for accuracy and consistency.
- Craft clear, concise, and mission-aligned materials for Congressional briefings and engagements.
- Ensure legislative communications are accurate, timely, and strategically aligned with IC priorities.
- Congress-Savvy & Detail-Oriented – Expert in Congressional processes and precise in legislative analysis.
- Mission-Focused & Responsive – Provides timely, actionable updates that directly support IC priorities.
- Collaborative & Professional – Builds strong relationships with ODNI staff and ensures smooth Hill engagements.
- Clear & Strategic Communicator – Crafts high-impact, audience-focused materials for senior leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or related field.
- 0–15+ years of experience in legislative affairs, Congressional relations, or government liaison roles (multi-discipline levels available).
- Strong understanding of Congressional processes, legislative drafting, and IC-relevant legislation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, time-sensitive updates.
- Experience supporting ODNI, IC, or DoD legislative operations.
- Familiarity with intelligence oversight committees and Hill briefing protocols.
