Supply Chain Manager (Europe)

Position Summary The Supply Chain Manager (Europe) is responsible for managing sourcing, supplier relations, and supply chain–related operational activities across Europe, with a strong focus on Malterdingen operations. The role ensures cost efficiency, supply continuity, contract compliance, and accurate data management while acting as a key interface between suppliers, internal stakeholders, shared service centers, and external auditors. Key Responsibilities Major Responsibilities Provide local leadership to the global Supply Chain functions.  This includes Strategic Sourcing, Tactical Buyers, and Supplier Development that focuses on value to internal and external customers by formally managing the supplier relationships.  Team members will have matrixed reporting structure to the Supply Chain Manager – Europe, and the Global Functional Leaders. Lead by example and develop team of professionals; provide professional development opportunities and engage in coaching and mentoring relationships to instill deep knowledge and capabilities in Supply Chain. Foster teamwork, open communication, and collaboration across department Accountable to ensure sourcing strategies are created and executed in alignment with the global business goals. Identify, develop, and launch new suppliers to support both local and global demand requirements. Support multiple value streams and regions, as needed. Create a service performance culture that is agile and flexible. Key performance indicators (but not limited to): Material Productivity, Cash Flow, Supplier Quality and Delivery, Sustainability, New Product Development, and Innovation. Report out monthly against metrics with action plans for continuous improvements. Establish strong and effective relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and productivity targets are met. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management Managed inquiries for new parts, externally manufactured components, and existing materials, covering approximately 700 articles per year, including supplier search, selection, and master data maintenance. Conducted price negotiations with key strategic suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and long-term supply stability. Managed and maintained framework agreements with suppliers. Reviewed and approved price adjustments and coordinated related sales price updates with the Sales organization. Supply Chain Coordination Acted as primary contact for MCZ, ensuring accurate data maintenance within the MCZ system. Supported MCZ in resolving delivery date issues and other supply chain disruptions. Master Data & Compliance Maintained supplier address data in the E1 system, including new setups and changes. Prepared monthly reports on supplier master data changes and new entries in compliance with SOX requirements. Served as a key contact for annual EY audits, ensuring transparency and compliance in sourcing and procurement processes. Procurement of Indirect Materials & Services Responsible for the procurement of indirect materials for the Malterdingen site. Commissioned and managed external services, including building-related services. Performed weekly invoice checks and approvals, forwarding approved invoices to the Shared Service Center (SSC) for indirect costs such as leasing, maintenance contracts, and recurring expenses. Asset & Infrastructure Management Managed the company vehicle fleet, including leasing contracts, new vehicle acquisitions, and vehicle returns. Oversaw HP hardware management, including leasing, new equipment orders (with accessories via Borgware), and device returns. Managed Konica Minolta printer contracts and administration. Administered Telekom mobile and fixed-line services, including distribution of invoices from the Telekom online portal to the SSC. Facility & Site Administration Coordinated building cleaning services for the Malterdingen site. Managed building key administration, ensuring secure and controlled access.
