And right now, we’re looking for a Solicitor to join our Corporate Legal team and play a visible part in that work.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver high‑quality, business‑focused legal advice across corporate and finance matters, including UK and overseas regulatory issues
- Get involved early in projects and programmes, helping shape outcomes rather than reacting to them
- Identify and manage legal risk, keeping advice pragmatic and aligned to Lloyd’s risk appetite
- Translate complex legal issues into clear, accessible guidance for non‑legal stakeholders
- Build and improve legal templates, tools and guidance to make ways of working simpler and faster
- Manage multiple priorities at pace, without losing sight of what matters most
- Instruct and manage external counsel when specialist support is needed, focusing on quality and value
- Challenge existing processes constructively and help drive continuous improvement across the Legal team
What you’ll bring
- Experience gained in private practice and/or in‑house, covering corporate, finance and regulatory work
- Strong commercial awareness and a solutions‑focused mindset
- The ability to manage competing deadlines and complex stakeholder relationships
- Clear, confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- The confidence to challenge constructively and deliver difficult messages with clarity and respect
- A collaborative approach and the curiosity to keep learning
