Job Description

We are looking for a Data Analyst / AI‑Enhanced Data Scientist to join our international HR Analytics team.
The role focuses on analytical exploration, scenario analysis, and AI‑supported insight generation to support HR and business decision‑making at management and executive level.
In this role, you will work with complex HR and business datasets, translate business questions into analytical hypotheses, and develop data‑driven insights on topics such as workforce development, attrition, and financial impact.
Dashboarding and reporting (e.g. Power BI, SAC) are used mainly to communicate insights, not as the core focus of the role.
This position offers a strong development path towards advanced analytics, data science, and AI use cases in a regulated HR environment.

Key Responsibilities
Analytics & Data Science (Core Focus)
  • Analyze HR and business processes to identify relevant data fields and analytical opportunities.
  • Translate business questions into analytical hypotheses, investigations, and scenarios.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, drivers, risks, and anomalies.
  • Conduct scenario and impact analyses (e.g. workforce development, attrition, financial effects).
  • Support and further develop KPI concepts from a data‑science perspective (logic, drivers, limitations).
  • Use AI‑enabled analytics tools and advanced analytical methods to accelerate insight generation.
  • Ensure transparency, reproducibility, and documentation of analytical work.

Insight Communication & Decision Support
  • Prepare clear analytical outputs and visualizations for stakeholders.
  • Explain results, assumptions, limitations, and uncertainty in a business‑oriented way.
  • Support presentations and discussions with senior stakeholders and management, incl. Board‑level audiences, together with the team.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations.

Data, Tools & Delivery Enablement
  • Clean, validate, and structure data from multiple HR and business systems.
  • Contribute to dashboards and reports (e.g. Power BI, SAC) to communicate insights effectively.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and business units in cross‑functional analytics projects.

Data Governance & Compliance
  • Work with sensitive HR data under strict confidentiality requirements.
  • Support compliance with European data protection and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, Works Council processes).
  • Contribute to analytics standards, documentation, and best practices within the team.

Must Have
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, advanced analytics, or data‑science‑oriented roles.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to structure complex, ambiguous business problems.
  • Hands‑on experience with analytics tools such as Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Python, Tableau or SAC (not all required).
  • Experience working with larger datasets and ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Ability to interpret analytical and model results, including limitations and assumptions.
  • Strong communication skills to explain analytics in clear, non‑technical language.
  • Experience handling sensitive data with high confidentiality standards.
  • Very good English skills; German is an advantage.
Nice to Have / Can Be Developed
  • Hands‑on experience with advanced analytics or AI methods (e.g. forecasting, clustering, segmentation, automation, AI features in BI tools).
  • Experience with HR data and HRIT systems (e.g. SAP HR, SAP SuccessFactors / Employee Central).
  • Exposure to workforce planning, attrition analysis, or financial impact scenarios.
  • Knowledge of European HR compliance topics (e.g. GDPR, Works Council).
  • Awareness of CSRD and implications for HR data and analytics.
  • Interest in responsible AI and governance in a regulated environment.

Qualifications
  • Degree in data science, analytics, business administration, economics, information systems, or a related field.
  • Several years of professional experience in analytics or data‑driven roles.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in an international, cross‑functional team.
  • Curiosity, learning mindset, and motivation to grow towards advanced analytics and AI use cases.
