Description
- You're an engineering or sustainability-focused student seeking an Optimization Engineering Co-Op opportunity where you can contribute to meaningful projects focused on energy efficiency and building performance.

From energy assessments and commissioning to retro-commissioning and performance optimization, you’re eager to learn how thoughtful engineering delivers real impact.
- You enjoy problem-solving and learning through hands-on experience, whether that’s analyzing data, supporting fieldwork, documenting findings, or assisting project teams as they evaluate and improve building systems.
- You're organized, detail-oriented, and curious someone who asks good questions, seeks feedback, and enjoys collaborating with engineers, designers, and professionals across disciplines.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops and applies foundational engineering knowledge within the built environment.
- Supports energy studies, audits, and building system evaluations (HVAC, lighting, envelope, etc.).
- Assists with system installation verification and functional performance testing.
- Gathers, organizes, and analyzes data related to building performance and energy usage.
- Contributes to the preparation of energy calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
- Utilizes software tools for data analysis, visualization, and building performance evaluation.
- Participates in field observations and validation of equipment and system performance.
- Collaborates with project teams to support deliverables and meet deadlines.
- Builds understanding of commissioning, retro-commissioning, and optimization processes.
- Ensures accuracy and quality in all assigned work.
- Engages in continuous learning and professional development.
