Exciting Opportunity for Auto Painter – Automotive Body Shop!
Are you a skilled automotive painting professional with a passion for quality workmanship? We are looking for an Auto Painter to support our Body Shop operations by carrying out surface preparation, painting, and finishing activities to the highest quality standards. This role is essential in ensuring vehicles are restored to their original appearance while maintaining excellent workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out masking activities to protect vehicle surfaces before painting.
• Prepare panel surfaces for painting through cleaning, sanding, and surface treatment processes.
• Apply putty and body filler to damaged areas to achieve smooth finishes.
• Perform sanding processes to ensure proper surface preparation.
• Apply paper and masking tape to protect unpainted vehicle surfaces.
• Apply body filler, primer, and related materials using spray gun equipment.
• Sand rough spots on painted panels to achieve a smooth and uniform finish.
• Polish painted panels to meet quality and appearance standards.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment used in painting operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the workplace, tools, equipment, and customer vehicles.
• Adhere to company quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader (Painting) or Body Shop Supervisor.
Requirements:
• Education: High School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of automotive painting experience.
• Skills & Abilities: Strong knowledge of vehicle surface preparation, painting techniques, masking, sanding, and polishing processes. Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
• Languages: Basic communication skills in English.
• Technical Skills: Ability to operate spray guns and other painting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
