Senior Officer, Building Rehabilitation (2-year contract)
Job Description
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
To assist in the implementation and promotion of the Building Maintenance Grant Scheme for Needy Owners (BMGSNO)
To support the monitoring and administration of the application process
To ensure grant applications are properly reviewed and processed in accordance with internal control procedures and timelines
To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all grant applications received and approved
To meet with grantees to sign documents on-site, during or after office hours
Requirements:
Degree in building / construction profession, housing management, surveying, customer service or related discipline
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
Experience in customer service would be an advantage
The appointment will be made on a 2-year fixed-term contract, which may be renewable subject to appointee’s performance, the Authority’s business needs, and other relevant factors.
