Assistant Officer, General Accounting (11-month Contract)
Job Description
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
To keep proper accounting records for URA and its subsidiaries
To process payments and other financial transactions and ensure that they are properly supported, authorized and processed in accordance with URA’s policies and procedures
To assist in preparation of financial statements and reports
To assist in document management and perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Completed secondary education with level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in the HKDSE or with Grade E in the HKCEE, or equivalent
Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or related disciplines; OR Higher Diploma/Associate Degree holder with minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Knowledge in financial management system, e.g. Workday, is preferred
Good knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
