Under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Nutrition performs a variety of diet office tasks, which relate to the transfer of information concerning patient diets, meal selections, preferences and complaints. Complies with standards established by Hospital, regulatory agencies, and JCAHO
Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Able to follow written directions and record information using high school level literacy skills. Visual and auditory acuity. Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Able to engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs. and climbing. Able to work outdoors in extremes of heat and cold.
Experience: Food Service experience preferred. Some computer knowledge preferred. Ability to handle confidential information and to interface with Nursing staff, patients, and employees. Must have an understanding of weights and measures. Must be able to relay/follow written and verbal instructions. Visual and manual dexterity required.
