Come and play a learning role and be a “fullstack” designer in the Manufacturing Digital Product Design team. Work alongside Product and Engineering while exploring user needs and facilitating journey mapping. Mocking up solution ideas and developing appealing User interfaces.

This role will give the right candidate the ability to apply all their know-how in User-Centered Design to delight and compose value-adding experiences for our industrial users!

Core Responsibilities

Design internal digital tools that help colleagues do their best work, while growing your craft as a Digital Product Designer in a collaborative, playful product team where curiosity, learning, and real impact matter every day. Bring a user-centered approach & passion for crafting user-friendly and consistent UI builds and explore hypotheses, solution ideas and solution concepts via user research.

  • Use design products like storyboards, wireframes, and high and low fidelity prototypes in your design work.
  • Present your work at all stages of the design process to designer colleagues and product teams for review and shared understanding. Similarly provide professional feedback to colleagues.
  • Work alongside Sr. designers, engineers and product management to prioritize and define experiences and collaborate with these partners to deliver the right solution.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with colleagues and collaborators to promote collaboration and efficiency.
  • Pursue excellence in the design process and share your insights about new ways of working with colleagues.
  • Plan and implement internal and user centered workshops.

Join an outstanding team and be part of a digital design family supporting and innovating the digital tools and processes within the manufacturing flow of the LEGO Group (creating and packing the bricks). Our primary users are colleagues in all aspects of the production flow from planning to retail.

We are organized into autonomous crews that support the manufacturing flow, and your daily work will be deliveries to product teams together with your crew colleagues. The crews work together on an overarching user experience and design system and support each other in reviews and proficiency development. We work with agile methodologies, together with the teams that drive the Operations strategy and its execution for the LEGO Group.

Also, be part of the vibrant UX Community with other skilled designers - together advancing the UX maturity of the digital technology organization in the LEGO Group.

Do you have what it takes?

The preferred candidate has a few years’ hands-on experience within product design, UX/UI or similar, with experience in user-centric development. Conducted UX research to compose product decisions and worked closely with product management and engineering. Supported one or more products from ideas to shipped products and have used Figma or similar to build low and high-fidelity prototypes and final UI specifications.

Ability to work effectively in an agile, multi-functional team, bringing a proactive and optimistic approach to problem-solving. Proficiency in building mock-ups, prototypes as well as delivering high-fidelity on-brand designs.

Confidence in presenting and explaining design work to collaborators and team members, with a focus on storytelling. Growing in a role that involves setting direction and challenging status quo.

To succeed in this role, the right candidate ideally has competence within or bring the following:

  • Degree in UX design, Product Design, UX, HCI, or equivalent work experience.
  • Tools like Figma, Miro, Adobe Analytics - User Testing are a plus.
  • Designing for AI as a system element and/or testing AI as part of the design tool chain.

Advanced English both written and verbally is a need since we are an international gathered team – and please, an available online portfolio listed on the resume.

This position is in Lead Professional Skyline. Relocation support is not offered.
