Jr. Qualification & Digital Engineer
Job Description
Job Description
Are you ready to approve the quality of LEGO elements & moulds today — and help build the digital tools that will shape how we do it tomorrow?
As a Jr. Qualification & Digital Engineer you are able to evaluate inspection lots and conclude on rejection or approval. You take part in the approval dialogue and engage with both colleagues and relevant stakeholders. You act on quality issues when you observe them.
At the same time, you are an active contributor to the digital tools agenda — working hands-on with PiWeb, automation, and API integrations alongside the Technology & Digitalization (T&D) team. Your qualification experience directly informs what the tools need to do, and your digital contribution adds value to the entire qualification process
Core Responsibilities:
Responsible and accountable for the final evaluation of LEGO elements on all aspects (weight, measurements, function and visual) — with the mandate to reject or approve an element/mould, with support from colleagues.
2. Be the ambassador of the right LEGO quality level. Ensure that documentation is updated and ready to pass on to the next step in the chain.
3. Support daily element qualification operations — sparring with colleagues, supporting site colleagues on request, and contributing to a consistent and well-functioning approval flow.
4. Actively support and contribute to the digital tools’ agenda within EMV (Element & Mould Validation) — with a specific focus on PiWeb development, reporting automation, and API integrations — working alongside the T&D team and senior digital colleagues.
5. Participate in hands-on development, testing, and implementation of digital tools — acting as an operational bridge between daily qualification needs and the digital solutions being built. Your quality experience informs what the tools need to do.
Take part in cross-departmental activities and strategic initiatives (e.g. LPP, LCI, PPS) where both a quality and a digital perspective are valuable.
Do you have what it takes?
If you are driven by both quality and digital innovation, and want to develop both skill sets in a world-class manufacturing environment, this role is built for you. You will grow your qualification competence through daily practice, while actively contributing to the digital agenda that is reshaping how EMV works — today and towards 2036.
- Experience in quality, engineering, data (Jr. level).
- Genuine interest in and aptitude for digital tools, data platforms, and automation.
- Basic understanding of quality principles and a willingness to learn element evaluation from the ground up.
- Curiosity and a structured, problem-solving mindset — comfortable working in an environment that combines operations and development.
- Willingness to travel
- English fluent level.
- Experience with digital/data tools — Power BI, PiWeb, Python, or similar.
- Quality background, preferably from the plastic or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of LEAN, continuous improvement, Six Sigma, or DMAIC.
- Understanding of manufacturing value chains and how to collaborate across functions.
- Experience or interest in automated workflows, scripting, or process digitalization
